Today I edited a video profile on Cadillac Ranch, a new spot in Town Square. This spot gets my seal of approval. After I shot this piece, I went back with my friends from work and we shut the place down!

Heaven Hill Distilleries has made us a cocktail! The “Southern Belle” lives up to its name… PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur provides a sweet yet tart taste. Here is the recipe:

You are my best friend and heart. I don’t know where I would be without you in my life. You are my rock and are ALWAYS there for me no matter what. You are one of the most sincere and selfless people I know. Thank you for your everlasting support and love.
You live your life with so much generosity and love. I admire how you spend so much of your time doing things for other people. I wish everyone in the world could have a mother like you. You fill so much of my heart and life.
This week, the EPpy awards were announced, which are the international web awards for journalism. The company I work for, Greenspun Interactive, won three awards!!
We competed in the category for sites with under a million unique visitors a month. Here is what we won:
* LasVegasSun.com was named best newspaper site in the country.
* LasVegasWeekly.com was named best local entertainment site in the country.
* Our history project on LasVegasSun.com was named best special feature on a news site.
The award for best news site in the country with more than a million daily uniques went to the Wall Street Journal’s WSJ.com. So obviously, we are in really good company!
This is the second year in a row we received this honor and we tied the New York Times Company for the most awards won by a single media company.
I am so proud of everyone that I work with! We are doing amazing things, and there is so much more on the horizon! Can’t wait!
Wow! What a weekend it has been! I apologize for not updating sooner. I am finally getting around to updating this blog after one of the best weekends of my life. It is going to take a while to recover from all the events.
I spent four jammed packed days romping around Louisville with the Southern Belles to promote our show. Here is a recap of what we went through:
Thursday, I had media training with the Southern Belles. All the girls got coached on how to answer questions for the media. (It was pretty much a no brainer for me, since that is what I do for a living. Still we had fun chatting it up.) You could feel the excitement in the air, because we knew some big days were ahead of us!
Afterwards, I went to “Bowl for the Roses” with Hadley, Kellie and my best friend Kristina. The charity bowling event is run by my dear friend of ten years, Joey Wagner. Joey always has great events. You can learn about them at www.jdubentertainment.com.

Friday night I party hopped with all the Southern Belles. Our publicist wanted to make sure she got us on as many red carpets as we could. We started the night off at the legendary Barnstable Brown Gala. I have to admit, I was actually kind of nervous! This was my first time being on the reverse side of the red carpet.

I gave an interview to my old station WKYT TV in Lexington, and I am pretty sure I was rambling the whole time! haha. It was weird to be the one getting interviewed for a change. Inside the party we ate dinner and watched several people perform like Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, Aretha Franklin, to name a few.
Hadley is so funny to me because she gets so star struck! It’s adorable. She was practically crying when we met Tom Brady. (Don’t tell her I told you. lol).
Later that night we went to Kim Kardashian’s party at The Glassworks building and had a great time as well! Everyone is so nice in Louisville. It is a great place to call home.

The next morning I was so tired, I actually overslept an hour! I thought our publicist was going to kill me. Luckily, I pulled things together very quickly and made it down to Shea’s house in time for us all to get to the Kentucky Derby together.
It was so weird walking red carpet at the Kentucky Derby! I definitely don’t consider myself anywhere close to an actual celebrity, however it was such an honor to be able to do this in my hometown. It was so great to be a part of such a tradition. This was definitely an experience I will never forget!

Here is a photo of our shoes. Can you guess which one is me? Here is a hint. My shoes are the tallest .
This day truly was one of the best days of my life. I was so happy and so proud of my hometown. We hung out in the green room and got to sit in some of the best seats in all of the track. I met so many fabulous people and made many memories and contacts I will keep for the rest of my life!
The only bad part of this weekend is that I lost my camera on Sunday. I have been so devastated because I have so many pictures that I will never get to see. Still, I am keeping things in perspective and have been so blessed in more ways than I can count!
After lots of deliberation, I am finally set on a frock to rock this Friday night at the Barnstable Brown Gala. There are so many events to attend during Derby week in Louisville, and this is one of the most classic.
I am honored to finally get to go this year!

The time has finally come and I am so excited! The premiere of 702.tv debuts Thursday April 30 at 5:30 PM on VEGAS TV! We have worked so hard for this day, and I am ecstatic it is finally here!
I was leaving work today and thinking about our premiere and actually got kind of emotional thinking about our debut. I am so grateful and honored to be a part of this team. I truly believe we are paving the way for the future of local television. We are going to turn Las Vegas upside down!

Working in television, you constantly have to wear make-up, there is no way around it. (Yes, even Alex, our sports guy smacks it on). The foundation I was using really seemed to be clogging my pores, so this week I made the switch to a new product that I ADORE:
HD Invisible Cover Foundation by Make Up For Ever
HD Invisible Cover Foundation from Make Up For Ever is the best foundation I have ever used. It is great for on camera or every day life. I think it brings extra life and coverage to your skin, without weighing you down.
I will definitely to stick to this product for a long time to come. It comes in 25 different shades and is available at Sephora for $40. Click here to buy online.
